"Introducing and Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research in Schools" (IDEERS), held since 2001, is aiming to generate students’ interests in structural engineering and disaster mitigation. In 2006, Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) has approved IDEERS as one of the great educational events APEC supports. The event is therefore entitled as APEC-IDEERS and held by National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE) at Taipei, Taiwan.

The 2006 APEC-IDEERS competition is going to take place in Taipei, Taiwan at the NCREE facilities during Sep.22nd to 24th. Participants from Asia-Pacific-wide are welcome to join this creative and interesting activity to learn by doing!
