Forum Topics
- Structural safety under near-fault and/or multiple hazards (earthquake, wind, flood, fire, etc.) threat, and disaster mitigation strategies for improving resilience;
- Innovative experimental technologies and numerical simulation methods;
- Lessons learned from disastrous earthquakes.
Forum Description
For each of the three forum topics, one or two keynote speakers (topic presenter) will be given 30 min to deliver his experience and vision on the past, present, and possible future advancement of that particular topic. Panel discussions, chaired by a moderator (international guest) and a co-moderator (Taiwan), will then follow to collect a broader view and comments from a group of some 20 selected participants (i.e., panelists), at which moment audience will be able to join in for further interactions. At the end of each half-day agenda (4 hours), a portfolio of summary and resolution will be made by a panel moderator to wrap up the topic forum and serves as a guideline for international and domestic research collaborations in the upcoming years.
